The Roles of Academic Self-Efficacy and Intolerance of Uncertainty on Decisional Procrastination in University Students during the COVID-19 Pandemic

Decisional procrastination has been one of the main phenomena analysed in university students, together with self-efficacy, during COVID-19 pandemic. We examined roles academic self-efficacy and intolerance uncertainty on decisional 318 Italian students. Furthermore, mediating role relationships between was explored. The Academic Self-Efficacy Scale, Procrastination Intolerance Uncertainty Scale were used. Results: predicted by components (prospective inhibitory intolerance). prospective confirmed relationship (self-engagement self-oriented decision-making) procrastination. Conclusions: This study adds new evidence to findings analysis mitigating students context their tendency procrastinate decision-making processes, which poorly investigated date scholars this research field. Future will deal a specific situation procrastinating behaviours, such as completion master’s thesis or respect for deadline an article’s submission.
